Los Nak and Noeun Sareun (both age 18 as of 2009) are the first beauty school students from the region who were considered at-risk girls and sponsored to attend cosmetology training provided through the Cambodian Office of Social Affairs. Completing their year-long program in August, 2009, the young woment now have their own beauty shop which has been constructed in their home village by the local construction team.
The Cambodian Office of Social Affairs has provided the required equipment to get Nak and Sareun set up in their shop and Trailblazer Foundation provided the small generator used to operate hair dryers, curling irons, etc.

Their vocational training is an example of "prevention" versus "intervention" of at-risk girls. Both the vocational training and the beauty shop construction costs were covered by a micro-grant from Trailblazer Foundation. Nak and Sareun will be responsible for paying back 50% of the total value into their local Village Fund.
